About Rule Exceptions

From time to time, you may need to change some of your Min/Max # Offers capacity rules for a particular time period. For example, during the summer months, you may have less staff due to vacations. Therefore, you want to decrease the number of marketing telephone calls required per week during the summer months, however the rest of the Optimize session settings should be the same. Similarly, over the holiday period, you may augment staff, thus increasing available capacity.

To make these adjustments, add a Rule Exception to your Min/Max # Offers capacity rule. A Rule Exception enables you to change the capacity minimum and maximum for a specific time period or set of dates.

Rule Exceptions work with Min/Max # Offers capacity rules only. You can also only make exceptions based on a time period.
