You may need to define a new audience level for your Optimize session. This can be done by a Campaign administrator. Every time a new audience level is created, a virtual contact history table is created—a contact history table “mapping”—in the Campaign system tables. The administrator must map the Campaign contact history table mapping to a database contact history table (a “physical” contact history table). This step ensures that a record is kept of customer contacts. Because certain optimization rules are based on whether previous communications were made to a proposed contact (and this information is stored in the database contact history table) this is an important step.
Once an administrator creates and maps an audience level to a contact history table, the audience level is available for use in an Optimize session.
