There are some settings you can configure to change the behavior of the optimization algorithm. You can change these settings to improve optimality or to improve performance. You can either set these parameters globally or per Optimize session. The global settings are configuration parameters available on the Configurations page in the Campaign > partitions > partition[n] > Optimize > AlgorithmTuning category. The Optimize session-level parameters are available as Advanced Settings on the Optimize session Summary tab.

Fine tuning these sessions is an iterative process, and very dependent on your particular environment, including hardware type and configuration, your data set, and your optimization rules. The following sections provide guidelines to follow when tuning your Optimize performance.
