Product Analyzer overview
The Product Analyzer utility presents consumer response analysis information on a product, Demand Group, Line Group, and category basis by division. It can be used as a tool to explore relationships among products, Demand Groups, and categories, and to quickly view demand response curves for a product selected in IBM® Omni-Channel Merchandising.
Product Analyzer graphically illustrates sensitivity to regular base and promotion price changes, as well as other promotion lift factors such as ads and displays. It also diagrams how a product’s price changes as rules in a scenario’s rule hierarchy are processed.
The Product Analyzer opens in a separate browser window so that you can browse products and insights while creating promotions, analyzing results, or comparing scenarios.

The Product Analyzer is divided into separate tabs: Relationships, Price Response Analysis, Promotion Response Analysis, and Price Change By Rule:

The Relationships panel displays detailed information about the product selected such as various costs, competitive data, and members of the same Brand, Size, or Line Groups.

For the Price Response Analysis and Promotion Response Analysis, a set of curves represents potential lift as a result of certain marketing actions and a segmentation chart shows each product’s performance relative to others in its category.

The Price Change By Rule tab graphically illustrates how a product’s price in a Rules Based Pricing scenario or a Price Update changes as rules in the scenario’s rule hierarchy are processed.
The Product Analyzer utility can be accessed from within various IBM® Omni-Channel Merchandising applications or from the Tools drop-down menu. The Relationships and Price Change By Rule panels are only visible when the Product Analyzer is accessed from within IBM® Omni-Channel Merchandising Price Management and Price Optimization. Both the Price Response Analysis and Promotion Response Analysis panels are populated with data when a separate process is run in the IBM® Omni-Channel Merchandising system. Contact your IBM® Omni-Channel Merchandising Representative if data needs to be generated.

You must have the Price Response Analysis, Promotion Response Analysis, and View Rule Bounds and Price Changes permissions set to access these panels in the Product Analyzer.
