Elements in the
sysmenu.xml
file
You use the following elements to define menus and menu items in the
sysmenu.xml
file.
menugroup
The <menugroup> element identifies a menu in the user interface, and contains elements that define the label for the menu and the items that it offers. This element has the following attribute:

id
Unique identifier for the menu.
The <menugroup> element has no value. It can contain the following child elements: <display> and <menuitem>.
display
The <display> element defines the label that
Marketing Operations
displays in the user interface for this menu. This element has no attributes and no child elements. The attribute value is the name that you want to use.
menuitem
The <menuitem> element defines an item on a menu. This element has the following attributes:

id
Unique identifier for the module that corresponds to this menu item. A corresponding module id value must be present in the
sysmodules.xml
file.
type
The type of the module that corresponds to this menu item. Optional.
The <menuitem> element has no value or child elements.
To include a horizontal line between two menu items, you add a <separator/> element to
sysmenu.xml
between the <menuitem> elements.
