To change the status of projects and requests
You can change the status of one or more projects or requests. Your change must meet the following prerequisites; if it does not, a warning message describes the possible problems.
The new status must be a valid transition from the existing status.
You must have appropriate permissions to change the status. If you are accepting or rejecting a project request, you must be an appropriate approver.

to send an alert to owners and members of a process when its status changes.
1.
On the Projects and Requests list page, select the check box next to each item whose status you want to change.
Although you can select items on more than one page, the status change is applied only to the items selected on the page you are viewing when you select the new status.

Click the
Status
icon (
) and select the new status.
A dialog box appears in which you can add comments.
3.
Enter any comments, and click
Continue
to close the dialog box and apply the new status.
