A Interact 8.x runtime can run an Interact 7.x deployment; therefore you should upgrade your runtime environments before your design environment.
Also be aware that you must succesfully upgrade Marketing Platform prior to or at the same time as the upgrade of any other
IBM® Unica Marketing product. You cannot upgrade any
IBM® Unica Marketing products without also upgrading
Marketing Platform to the compatible release.
