Extract tab reference

Use the fields on the Extract tab when you configure an Extract process in a flowchart.

Location to which the output from this process will be written. The IBM® Campaign Server and any other data sources to which you are connected are available from the Target Data Source drop-down list.

Candidate Fields

List of fields available to extract, including field name and data type, based on your input data source. To see the list of fields, you may need to click the arrow next to an item to expand the item.

If your input source is a landing page in eMessage, each field name is an attribute of the landing page. If the attribute contains special characters or spaces, it is converted to a valid field name. Data types of all landing page attributes are listed as text.

Schema object names are limited to 30 characters. Restrict your attribute names to 30 characters or less to produce valid column names for extracted output.

Fields to Output

Fields that you chose to extract from the Candidate Fields list. The Output Name defaults to the field name in the Fields to Extract column.

Profile button

Click Profile to preview a list of values in the selected candidate field.

Derived Fields button

Click Derived Fields to create a variable in the list of candidate fields. Derived fields are variables that do not exist in a data source and are created from one or more existing fields, even across different data sources.

More button

Click More to open the Advanced Settings dialog. This dialog includes the option to exclude duplicate IDs from the output and specify how Campaign identifies duplicates.
