Upgrading Campaign

Upgrade instructions for Campaign vary depending on which version is installed and whether you are using eMessage. Be sure to follow the appropriate set of instructions, starting with the following topics.

You can upgrade to Campaign 9.0 (including eMessage) from version 8.5.x.x or 8.6.x.x only.

You must upgrade Marketing Platform before you upgrade Campaign.

An upgrade consists of two basic steps: You run the installer in upgrade mode to lay down the necessary system files. Then, you run the upgrade tool (acUpgradeTool) to upgrade your existing user data to work with the new version of Campaign.
