Back up Campaign
Be sure to back up the following information prior to beginning the Campaign upgrade installation:
1.
Back up your Campaign installation directory and, if it is installed, your eMessage installation directory as well.
The Campaign upgrade process installs all files required to run both Campaign and eMessage, and, if you have an existing eMessage installation, will upgrade that installation along with Campaign.
Note that the IBM® installer will also offer to make a backup of your installed files automatically during the upgrade process. You can complete the backup step here manually, during the installation automatically, or both.

See your database documentation for instructions on making backups of your data.
When you have completed these backup steps, you have a way to restore to a known working state in case of issues during the upgrade process.
