Security considerations for linking projects
Linked projects and subprojects must have the same security policy. After you link a project to another project, you cannot change the security policy of either object without first removing the relationship.
In order to link, add, or remove parent-child projects and requests, you need to have the appropriate security permission. If you do not have the appropriate permission for the task you attempt, ask your administrator for help.
