Backing up the system before you upgrade
Take a back up of your system before you start the upgrade process. If the upgrade fails, you can restore the last version of Marketing Operations.
Complete the following steps to back up the system:
1.
Undeploy your existing version of Marketing Operations.
2.
Back up all files and directories in your existing installation folder.

If you have modified the sample trigger procedures or the procedure_plugins.xml file, you must restore files from the backup after upgrading to avoid losing trigger procedures. The files you must restore are in the /devkits/integration/examples/src/procedure folder.
3.
Back up the database that holds your Marketing Operations system tables.
