About accounts
A top-level account represents a specific corporate General Ledger (GL) account that is established by a finance department for the purpose of tracking and controlling expenditures and cash flows for a certain area of the business.
IBM® Operações de Marketing breaks down accounts into top-level accounts and subaccounts. Subaccounts display under the parent or top-level accounts on the Accounts Definitions page. Subaccounts belong to their parent accounts for organizational purposes only; subaccount financial information does not roll up to parent accounts. Functionally, top-level and subaccounts are identical.
