Step: Back up the system before you begin the upgrade
Before you begin your upgrade process, complete the steps in this task to ensure that you have properly backed up everything in your current installation.

If you have modified the sample trigger procedures or the procedure_plugins.xml file, you must restore files from the backup after upgrading, to avoid losing trigger procedures. The files you must restore are in the /devkits/integration/examples/src/procedure folder.

Back up the database that holds your Marketing Operations system tables.
