Marketing Operations provides markup tools for making comments on attachments. When
Marketing Operations users send approvals for review, approvers can place their comments directly in the electronic file, where they can be viewed by other users.
Marketing Operations provides two types of markup tools.
When you deploy Marketing Operations, the system is configured to use the native markup option by default. If you want to use the
Adobe™ markup option instead, in
Marketing Operations select
Settings > Configuration > Marketing Operations > umoConfiguration > markup. Then configure the markup properties with the following values:
For users to effectively use Adobe™ markup, you must install
Adobe™ Acrobat on each client machine used to access
IBM® Marketing Operations.
After each installation on a Microsoft™ Windows™ platform, you must copy the customized
UMO_Markup_Collaboration.js file, located in
<MarketingOperations_Home>\tools under the
Marketing Operations installation directory, to the client machine. Copy this file to the JavaScripts subdirectory of the directory where you installed
Adobe™ Acrobat. For example:
If an sdkSOAPCollabSample.js file exists in this directory, delete it. This file is replaced by the
UMO_Markup_Collaboration.js file.
In addition, users who use the Internet Explorer browser to access IBM® Marketing Operations must set Internet Explorer preferences to display PDFs in the browser.
