To add or edit a metric

1.	Navigate to the Metrics Templates screen of the Metric Editor.

2.

Select:

one of the metrics templates to add a metric directly to the metrics template,

one of the metrics groups to add a metric to a group within a metrics template, or

an existing metric to edit it.

3.	If adding a metric, click the Add Metric button.

4.	Select the metric to add from the Metric pull-down list.

5.	If this is a computed metric, check the Computed box, and enter the formula in the Formula field.You can use the following operators in this field: +, -, *, /, SUM, AVG, MIN, or, MAX.

When you set up metric calculations, be aware that macros (Avg, Min, Max, Sum) ignore the NULL value. Arithmetic calculations (+,-,*,/) treat the NULL value as a 0. If you enter #/0 or #/NULL, Unica Marketing Operations displays “#DIV/0!”

6.	Check the Roll-up box if the metric should roll-up from the child level.

For example, if you select the Roll-up box for a program metric, its value gets rolled up from the program's child project.

7.	Check the Is Planned box if the metric is a targeted, rather than actual metric.

8.	Click Apply to save the metric, or Reset to undo your changes and clear the entry fields.
