Recipient selection
To select email recipients, you must add an eMessage process to a Campaign flowchart and complete a production run of the flowchart. You can use standard flowchart tools and logic to specify one or more cells as inputs to the eMessage process. You can select production recipients, test recipients, and select addresses for use in seed lists.
To configure the process inputs, you can specify any cell within the flowchart that contains the eMessage process. You can use a Select process, other flowchart logic, or strategic segments to build recipient lists by including or excluding input cells. Each input cell contains the IDs for the recipients.
Use the Source tab on an eMessage process to add groups of individuals to the recipient list, as follows.
*
Production recipients are the customers and prospects that you want to reach as part of your email marketing campaign. They receive a personalized email message when you execute a production run of an eMessage mailing.
*
Test recipients are sample message recipients that you can use to test message content and delivery before starting a production messaging run. In most cases test recipients are selected members of your organization, or sample recipients that you have created.
*
A seed list is a list of sample email addresses distributed throughout a production recipient list. By determining when and if an email message arrives at a seed address, you can estimate how quickly the mailing is reaching your intended recipients, and whether delivery problems might be preventing the messages from arriving.

You must have the appropriate permissions assigned by a Campaign administrator to work with Campaign flowcharts.
