Domain error occurs during install
Problem or error: The error message
"The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed."
is displayed during installation.
This error occurs due to an underlying network domain issue when the client machine cannot determine the user file permissions. The likely cause is that the computer's machine account has an incorrect role or its password has become mismatched with that of the domain database.
If you experience this error, perform the following procedure:
1.
Verify that the installation user is a valid domain user.
2.
Verify that the network is stable and on during the installation (if logged in as a domain user) so the user name can be verified.
3.
Restart the machine and log in again as the network user.
